The U.S. support for substantive talks leading to a settlement

Secretary of State John Kerry discussed settlement of Karabakh conflict during the meetings with the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan on Friday on the margins of NATO summit in Warsaw, spokesperson for the State Department John Kirby said during a briefing in Washington.

Kirby said Secretary Kerry met with the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan to reiterate the need for the sides to fulfill the commitments reached at the Vienna and Saint Petersburg meetings, and “to reaffirm the U.S. support for substantive talks leading to a comprehensive settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.”
