National Television and Radio Council (NTRC) has passed a decision on suspension of the broadcasting of ANS TV channel for a month from 18:30 pm, July 18, 2016 in accordance with the appeal of Azerbaijani Prosecutor General’s Office dated July 18, 2016 and requirements of the articles #11, 23 and 32 of the law “On Television and Radio Broadcasting” of the Azerbaijan Republic in order to prevent the provocation aimed at undermining strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Turkey and apparent promotion of terrorism.

APA reports quoting the NTRC’s website of that the Council passed a decision in this regard on July 18. Moreover, a decision was passed on filing a lawsuit for termination of the special permit (license) #TR 099 dated October 25, 2013, termination of the special permit (license) #TR 100 granted to the ANS Broadcasting and Media Company on October 25, 2013 under the Article 23.2.8 of the law on “Television and Radio Broadcasting” of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
